Set up 2.4 GHz network Ziggo or KPN
Connection issues? Here's how to set up your Wi-Fi correctly
Our devices can only connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Many modern routers have both a 2.4 GHz and a 5 GHz network, and sometimes these are merged under one name. This can prevent the device from connecting.
You can adjust this as follows:
🔧 Option 1: Temporarily separate router into 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
• Log in to your router via a browser (type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.178.1 in the address bar).
• Find the Wi-Fi settings and give the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks separate names (for example: MyWifi-2.4G and MyWifi-5G).
• Connect the device to the 2.4 GHz network.
• Once the installation is complete, you can optionally revert the settings.
⚙️ Option 2: Temporarily disable 5 GHz
• Log in to your router and go to the Wi-Fi settings.
• Temporarily disable the 5 GHz frequency.
• Connect the device to Wi-Fi and then re-enable 5 GHz.
🌐 Option 3: Use a guest network
• Some routers allow you to set up a guest network that only uses 2.4 GHz.
• This can be a quick solution without changing your main network.
📱 Connect your PETLUX V3 in the THQ Pets app
Once your Wi-Fi is properly set up, follow these steps to connect the litter box:
1. Reset the device by unplugging it for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
2. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the litter box until you hear a sound.
3. Open the THQ Pets app on your phone.
4. Click the "+" button to add a new device.
5. Click Next.
6. Select the device once it appears.
🔒 Please note: If your device is not found, it is usually because:
• Bluetooth on your phone is turned off, or
• You have not given the app permission to use Bluetooth.
Both are required for pairing, so grant access if prompted.
